Breathing aid
Hi Alice, I've seen those on Amazon and been tempted to buy one. .A friend of mine has one and swears by it. Hope this helps if you do get one please let me know how you get on with it. Have a lovely day and stay safe 😊 Bernadette xx xx 🌈
Hi Alice.
There was a lady in hospital when I was in using one of these. She had low oxygen due to a chest infection and the physio gave it to her to help clear the phlegm.
After I had been home a while I bought one to see if it would be any use to me - to improve my breathing.
It didn’t do anything for me. I could do the exercises to easily and I wasn’t quite sure about using it because it had a plastic type taste.
You use the device by sucking until the balls reach the top of the tube and then you keep sucking to keep them there.
Just because it did nothing for me, does not necessarily mean it will be no good for you. If you are curious, give it a go. I don’t think it was expensive.
I got it from Amazon.
Hi Alice, 🍀🌱
They provided me one of those in hospital to supposedly work my lungs, like a lung work out after my transplant. But I never got to use it was I was up and walking pretty quickly and my numbers were okay. I asked for it to be donated to someone who couldn't afford one. I just want to say its really good to see you. I hope you've been doing okay.
Love to you,
Cas xx 🙋🐕💕
Thanks Cas ,hope you are keeping well and safe as I am ,when I punch in spirometer so many come up there are some with figure markers on some without ,and a huge range of prices confused x
Hi Alice. 👋
I think you are looking for an incentive spirometer. That's the one with the balls you described in your post to work your lungs. Another kind of spirometer is a diagnostic one. That measures how well your lungs are working. You may have done this at the hospital. The hand held diagnostic spirometers are usually run by battery and would be significantly more expensive than the incentive ones . So I believe when you search please search for an incentive spirometer.
I am okay thank you. 😁
Please take care of yourself. xx 💕
Hello Alice the hospital here in Spain gave my husband one and he uses it regularly. It is a good workout for the lungs. I don’t believe it is meant to clear mucus just for exercise. Would certainly recommend it. Carole x
Morning Hun, I am being flooded with all sorts of Adverts on FB, I tend to Delete them. I did see this Particular one often, But, I have my Oxygen, Inhalers, Salt Pipe & Do Deep Breathing Exercises, so Didn't feel the need to pursue it. If you do try it, let us know, always Good to Try anything that Helps, if it works. Best of Luck. Stay Safe. Love . C. XXX
