An Englishman's home is his castle,
Is now an old fashioned phrase
But it's recently become more his prison
In these modern bug ridden days.
Especially for the old and decrepit
Whose vulnerability is ripe for attack
Their house once so pleasant and homely
Now feels a claustrophobial shack.
But then we must not grumble
Locked in we might likely be
There's plenty to keep us all busy
We could study and earn a degree
There's just one immovable problem
Inertia is prevalent you see
It's hard to get up off the sofa
Even to make yourself tea.
One day is so much like another
Which can get you into a flap
When you suddenly realise it's Thursday
When you should be outside to CLAP!
