Lung sensation - pleurisy

Doctors think I had Coronavirus starting 25 days ago. Symptoms left are tiredness and diagnosed pleurisy. I’ve had a 7 day antibiotic course but the right lung often still feels a bit blocked. This is causing great anxiety. I seem to have a lot of catarrh - is this normal and when will the blocked sensation go? I keep worrying I’ll develop pneumonia or a bad infection. Pulse oxygen levels are consistently 97-99% I’m mildly asthmatic.

Hi Cherylstev , I’ve had Pleurisy 3 times now . Very very painful ! I have COPD & also asthmatic & cat spores a Consultant told me on my lungs . First time I was given a injection by out of hours doctor & was brilliant, second time Amoxicillin & 3rd time Doxycycline & Prednisolone which i had to take for over 2 months . It’s often caused by coughing too much . Hope you get better soon & take care love K4ttt xx

Thanks K4ttt. I think it’s the fear of not being able to breath properly that’s making me worse! I have to with sit upright or lay on my front x

Hi Cherylstev, yes but it will go away my friend. It is frightening but drink plenty of water & food when taking the antibiotics as they’re cruel of your tummy . Which ever way is most comfortable for you to sit yes xx love K4ttt xx
