I have nothing but praise for the govt and the way they sent a list of shielders to supermarkets. Sainsbury’s allocated a weekly delivery slot free to me on the strength of this information.

I'm glad that you have received that but I think it is working differently in different parts of the country.
I have been acknowledged as being on the shielding list by my local Sainsbury's store but have not been given a dedicated regular slot and what slots they do have reserved for those shielding are already booked up for the next week and no advanced slots are being released beyond that yet.
Me too, had 3 texts from Sainsburys saying you will have a slot in the next two days and nothing.
Am relying on a friend to pick a few items up for me when she goes which is really kind but not ideal.
In my area there is little or no help. The local authority do not take incoming calls but that is where the shielding guidance supposedly comes from.

I have a weekly slot with Asda now but would prefer Sainsbury's as that's my usual supermarket, but I haven't seen anywhere to book a recurring slot on their website. Sainsbury's have acknowledged that my husband is on their vulnerable list though.
I had a text from Sainsbury’s to say they had been notified to say that I’m a vulnerable person, but haven’t yet sent me a slot. On the other hand, Tesco, who we use very rarely, have given me one, and I’m due for a delivery on Sunday.
Wow! You are so lucky to get a recurring slot. Must be different in different areas as CDPO16 above says! Can very rarely get a slot with them, even though I am on their vulnerable list. Well done.
I received a text from Sainsbury's telling me I was successfully registered for priority delivery and would be able to order one delivery a week. I was told to register and delivery slots would be available in the next two days, I did what they said and was locked out of my account. It is impossible to get through to them using the number provided or online chat, each time I have got to the front of the queue on chat or phone I have been cut off.
