It made me weep too but for different reasons. Yes, it's a joyful demonstration of the support there is for our NHS BUT... call me the HH Resident Cynic..when The Plague is vanquished will we pay the nurses and allied health workers what they truly deserve for their day in and day out dedication to patients? As is often, belatedly pointed out, the NHS workers have families to support as well so pay them more not pat them them on the head and clap them once in a while. Sorry for raining on the party but that's my version of it all.
And another thing, why not call it for what the CV is...a Plague not some medical condition of chesty breathing and sweats but a killer? Another Black Death. Alarmist you say? Well I hope not. Rant over, for now...
It can be very emotional seeing everyone coming together in this way. It also demonstrates that we really are in it together.
It certainly made me weep, we really do need to pay them more they are showing us how they care and are totally dedicated they deserve to be paid decent money, we see daily how they earn every penny. Have a lovely day and take care of yourself 😊 Bernadette xx
