You cannot. You should be isolating.

You should be self isolating like the rest of us.

You should be self isolating. If under gp and consultant you should get a letter in post saying what you need to do for 12 weeks. . Your boss has to allow you to do this. You could pick up virus from one the people you look after. Your vulnerable and they are vunerable

Thank you your message is clear,, i had booked holiday so I was expecting to return to work Thursday,, I have self isolated since finishing work wenesday,, intersecting advice from union,,, ask my boss to do a risk assessment on each service user I would be expected to go to,, which I did with no reply,,, so no doubt I will incur debt because it doesn't entitle me to sick pay and have no savings,, my company only pays for hours worked,,

You will still be entitled to Statutory sick pay. Risk assessments wouldn't work anyway who knows whether the previous carer was even well? Get on to Citizen's advice or the BLF helpline for advice ((())) xxx

Sickness benefit may not be the right benefit, to claim if you have dependants and rent your property . You need to speak to somebody from Benefits, BLF helpline will point you in the right direction or your local town hall .

You cant .you are risking your patients and yourself. Please stay home.

I'm also a carer in the community.I was diagnosed cold in 2017 but only found out 3 weeks ago.I have isolated since but in the dark regards doc following up from spyrometry test.I was advised I would be recalled in a year.I was oblivious till I asked for an inhaler.Waited all day for call from doc still waiting.
