I only have personal experience with NSCLC, but this may help:

Hi Blackkeys

I had an upper right lobectomy in 2017 for a 1cm adocarcinoma. I had the VACS procedure rather than open surgery. It was less invasive and I was discharged after 3 days.

Best wishes

Susan

Hi Susan thanx for your reply I have been told that my surgeon would attempt that approach but that I had to be prepared for open surgery if the key hole is not successful.

3 days in hosp is impressive 👍

I am still researching radiotherapy as a possibility but its looking like surgery has a better success rate at removing all the cancer cells.

Best wishes to you & thanx once again hope you are doing well?

Can I ask what has been suggested so far?

Lobectomy, which I was told may have to be done as an open procedure 😭

I am seeing an oncologist to discuss radiation therapy as an alternative,

I had SABR (Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy) for my Non Small Cell Lung Cancer 2 years ago that was very successful, it is still shrinking today. Non invasive, no pain and very little in the way of side effects, just some inflammation which was dealt with by steroids. Info link:

Thanx for the info, it's a big help reading what other people have gone through, can I just ask if you had any chemo also as part of your treatment?
