Mums on Oxygen 24/7 set at 1.5. We bought a unit to take out on our runs in the care to save ordering small cylinders however it was pulse devise and not continual flow and it did not suit her. Is there a continual flow we can buy and if so can it be charged in the car? Thanks for any help

Check out this site and you may find something appropriate for your mums needs, continuous flow machines do exist in the portable sector but always consider that she may need a higher flow rate aportableoxygen.co.uk/s time goes by.

Talk to your respiratory nurse - my oxygen supplier provide cylinders and a portable oxygen concentrator. You shouldn’t have to buy one.

I agree with Angie. You shouldn't have to buy one yourself. Consult with your Respiratory team . I ring Bay oxygen when I need anything . They are marvelous and also make suggestions as to what to use to make life easier .GoodLuck. xxSheila 💕👍

You shouldn’t need to buy. Just tell your oxygen nurse/doctor what you need to have a decent quality of life and they should arrange things for you. As I’ve said to others, do some research so as you know what you want/need and be firm. I got exactly what I wanted but it was quite hard work to begin with. Good luck. Joy x

You say ‘did not suit her’ or was it she didn’t like it? It does feel different but I actually prefer it. The oxygen nurse/doctor will tell her if she’s suitable for a pulsed machine. You have to be a nose breather. X

Mums has early onset Dementia so this confuses the matter as she will say theres nothing coming out !!! we do get all Oxygen free but this pulse flow seemed great with holding a charge and quite light weight, however not for Mum. thank you for getting back to me
