Good Morning All - I was wondering if anyone can suggest a good rating Manuka honey I can buy that doesn't break the bank? I have had, in the past, Steens 20+ but I've just seen how much the price has shot up. If anyone is trying a less expensive one & willing to recommend would you please let me know.
I have had COPD since March 2005 and still quite active. I had a flare up in January 2020 but the one before that was Sept 2018. I go to the local sports centre once or twice a week for gentle circuit training & do a bit of walking. But, in the winter months I never go out without a scarf wrapped around my month and nose and I strongly feel that this has reduced my exacerbation's. Hope that bit of info helps someone.
Have a lovely day all and take care of you.

Real Manuka honey is expensive in New Zealand where it is produced. I bought some at a farm that produced it and it was £20 a jar there. I buy mine from Holland and Barrett when they have their flash sales and it’s half price . I pay £21 (normally £42) for 70 MGO. I buy 2 jars so the postage is free. The brand is Manuka Doctor. My husband and I are on our second jars this winter. So far no infections. It protects against bacterial infections and is healing. I take a teaspoon last thing at night as heat destroys it. I suck it very slowly so it costs my throat. Don’t use it to make a hot drink for this reason. If I ever have a bit of a sore throat I take an extra teaspoon and suck it very slowly and it seems to stop things developing.
Many people don’t rate it and it is expensive but I find it works for us.
I also buy local honey which I use for cooking and making hot lemon drinks which are supposed to be as good as most cough medicines.
