Have been on net reading all sorts of stories OF those with chronic conditions and elderly more at risk HOWs that work when most suffer social isolation.
So must be these young healthy carers infecting people inadvertently ITs not like the on propper contracts
So why as not government told private social care providers to mask 😷 up when going to clients homes so as not to spread virus inadvertently.
Not heard doctors government or social workers AND am not thrilled about increased risk OR fact it’s only me going on about it
Best thing those chronically sick elderly can do is tell carers there not coming in home unless have face mask AFTER all can do what they like when they leave BUT wile in home THEY must mask up to protect clients

We have to different care agancy through day and twilight AND am always asking carers what have bosses said about infection and percussion’s TOLD them am not happy about increased risk by calls they do and all other clients do
And the said bosses have said nothing to them anyway AM putting my foot down AND also got in touch with mp tv networks to raise awareness and try stop those suffering social isolation being first to suffer.
Guess have to get things of your chest and that been keeping me up at nights

Hi JAS, some say masks are ineffective but maybe they would offer reassurance to those who need it. I hope the carers are washing hands thoroughly and using disposable gloves.
Hi sassy can’t count how many times have caught infection of dad’s carers MASK 😷 is solely to protect us from where they have been AND and coughing it all over us
Morning JAS and i think there's no harm in asking your MP, Social Workers and other medics what's the "correct" procedure relating to carers and this damned virus. There's conflicting news regarding the wearing of face masks as some are totally useless whilst others being far more money, are used by sprayers in the motor industry, all quarantine personnel etc etc. Its easy to be in a tizz waz over any benefits gained or not, so I'm awaiting your follow up report to see who said what! What a blinking load of panic amongst some folk who really dont know what to believe. Hopefully you'll use your JAS approach and will get some answers!! Keep us posted please. Also how are you and Dad managing at the moment ...... coping the best you can as always. Give Dad a gentle hug please. 😷 🐿 💕

This one I don’t want SO if Down Face. Mask so not coughing all over dad that suits me ALSO what happens to those who need care like my dad who need to self isolate

It's just not a good enough answer for them to give to you. Carers supplied by agencies etc will start to dwindle as this virus takes a firmer, widespread hold. They won't be enticed by higher pay because they've families they need to return to every day and wouldn't want to infect them. Oh, could go on forever, moaning about the bigger picture when those at high risk aren't able to get any carers because of the risks etc. Im worried as my94 year old Dad is in a care home and i just hope ot doesn't do the rounds there as it would mean lockdown and no visits 🤒😷🤧😰 ..... 🐿💕
I think this is an eminently sensible precaution, so I have emailed my MP and copied to the Secretary of State. I'll let you know if there is any response.
As promised, this is the response from PHE on the email I sent to my MP. The response is rather non-committal, and I would interpret it as saying that "clinicians" (however you would define them) should wear masks, but PHE are obviously not intending to enforce it (if they even could, which I doubt):
Public Health England’s (PHE’s) advice is that face masks play a very important role in clinical settings, such as hospitals, but there is very little evidence of widespread benefit from their use outside of these clinical settings. If used, facemasks must be worn correctly, changed frequently, removed properly, disposed of safely and used in combination with good universal hygiene behaviour in order for them to be effective. Research also shows that compliance with these recommended behaviours reduces over time when wearing facemasks for prolonged periods.
