Pay-back Time.

All those happy hours I spent in a smoke filled English pub,

Drinking real English ale and scoffing English grub.

Then when I got much older, a businessman beginner,

With European travel and much better food for dinner.

The pipe, cigars and brandy, made me feel so good.

Eating more than I should have done and getting extra pud.

I thought that I had paid for it, by bank statement showed it there.

Some friends might have warned me, but I didn't really care.

Now I guess it's pay back time, just my dog and ailing me,

When all I want is a comfy chair and a nice hot cup of tea.

Others opted for a tasty steaming curry

Though often it left their body in something of a hurry

Those additives sure tasted good

We never had room for an after dinner pud

Now it's boring veggies and healthy stuff

They say that you just can't get enough

Well they can stuff their mantra of five a day

I'll eat what i fancy if i have got to pay. x
