I was diagnosed with Mixed Connective Tissue disease which has damaged my lungs (Pulmonary Fibrosis) and at present I am treated with Steroids and I had funding for Rituxamab infusion which I have about every six months to stop the inflammation that's damaging my lungs. I also use ambulatory oxygen 6 litres per minute.

Please join the Lupus community on Health Unlocked where you will be able to have more information as to the various treatment the others with connective tissue disease have been prescribed.

Hope this will help you.

Rituxamab is a biological drug which if you were offered it will be explained more fully by your consultant and Rheumy nurse. Not everyone is offered it if the treatment they have started you on is working for you.

All drugs have side effects and affect everyone differently.
