I am a member of another COPD group on Facebook, and somebody said they went to their doctor to see if they had a chest infection, the doctor said if they can yawn they haven't got a chest infection, has anybody heard about this before?

There was one remark said to ask the doctor if they can't break wind does it mean there ears are blocked.

If you are like me I am very easily taken in welshtony. Years ago my husband told me about a wild boar -- The Severn Bore. He said it was a wild pig (boar) that swam up the River Severn each year to mate!. How about that? Each time I hear of The Severn Bore I think of him teasing me. Unfortunately he died 16 years ago and I miss him greatly.

I like that about the wild boar

Ha ha! Well, the Riven Seven runs past the Forrest of Dean which now contains wild boar so that’s not as outlandish as first sounds. Christmas is a bad time for those of us who have lost their partners, it’s ten years since my wife died (Skis’s wife was around the same time I think). It just never gets easier.

Hi Don, Im glad you had a giggle st my expense. Taking things a bit further, have you ever seen The Severn Bore? I have seen it and it is spectacular and people come from all over Britain to observe this phenomena. Go on line and have a look. Regards Chrys.

I've seen it many times over the years, sometimes it's really spectacular with people surfing on it and others it's just a ripple. We used to rent a log cabin in the Forrest of Dean on a regular basis, now Midge and I go in our campervan.

Lovely part of the world Don. Such a lot of freedom when you have a camper van. You can come and go as you feel. You must have been all over the UK and now have lovely memories to look back on. Take care. Chrys

I shouted at my husband to stop driving the car my daughter and I swore blind that he was about to run over a hedgehog we jumped out only to find it was the end of a sweeping brush. My hubby and son were sat in the car laughing their heads off. I have never lived it down. When he gets the sweeping brush out at home he shouts you want me to do the sweeping in case I run it over. Haha
