Thanks for all your replies, I have decided that the best route for me is to let my pharmacist (asda) order my medication for me. I take the point about if your computer went down, its worrying as to what could be next.

It seems these days ordering through the Pharmacist is best. But even they rely on a computer to dispense. Beleive Gps still keep some written details on patients.

Hi i used to do that but my pharmacist is not allowed to do that anymore so i use the online ordering system for the doctors surgery i can still collect it at the pharmacy im thinking of trying the pharmacy for u thing they advertise on tv they deliver it to your door has anyone used that?

I use my pharmacy to order my medicines and they deliver to your door if needed. I prefer to go to them as I can at the mo but I often see the pharmacy vans around where I live. They always let me know when my medicines are in by a text message. I'm sure this will be a good way forward for yourself. x

I have a Dosette box with all my regular meds in it sorted out in days and doses.

If I need others (that are not in my box I phone the chemist who then asks my doctor to write a script for the other meds which are then delivered with my box to the house.

Maybe that is an option for you?
