Repeat Prescriptions.

Repeat prescription time again.

Each time there's more and more.

Checking just what stuff I need,

Is getting such a bore.

I think I''ll put an advert in

For a secretary girl.

And turn my life around a bit

In a geriatric whirl.

Repeat prescription time again <--- sore point with me. If you send it a day or two early they get rejected. Then wait a week to find chemist hasn't got them yet or the supply has dried up.

Never have a problem, I order them on the Patient Access site and the chemist has then ready 24hours later. Checking only those I need is troublesome, if I ordered them all at the same time I’d acquire too many of some. Manufacturers don’t help putting 28 in some boxes and 30 in others. It gets messy as the list gets longer and longer.

Ahh, that 28/30 game, having to do a stock check each month, yes definitely a, once a month, pain in the bum. My inhalers are the same 120/4. 30/1 and 100/4 most confusing my Bricanyl (100/4) is only 25 days worth so there are months when I could be ordering it twice in a month.

Good job us young uns know what we are doing. Tried to explain the 28/31 day problem to surgery receptionist. She seemed to think I'd lost the plot. Sunshine this morning looks fabulous if only I could spring out this bed. Jane .

Good luck with getting a secretary to sort out repeat prescriptions! Don’t get me onto the subject! I’m on 21 different meds and I have to put in a repeat request every week! Woe betide me if I put in a request a day or two early! The computer at my drs sometimes cancels my request for methotrexate even if I’ve taken the last dose. This means a phone call to the surgery and usually a telephone consultation with a dr. I know the NHS needs to save money, but I’ve been at my gps practice for forty years and my condition is stable on these meds. There needs to an element of trust!

Request blister packs then chemist will supply exactly what you need.

My chemist has cut back on the services it offers.
