hi I have just been prescribed unyphilline in the hospital reading leaflet when I got home it says consult a doctor if you are going to drink alcohol .I don't drink very often but does this mean at celebration parties I can*t drink alcohol at all. is anyone else on this tablet who can give advice thank you in advance tywy

Difficult . Ihad an 80th to go to so took lots of tonics with me as there is alwzys someone who wants to try what you drink. I gave up gin and drink elderfĺlower cordial with tonic , and its not a bad substitute? Today i wss looking st seedlip non alcoholic spirit. How can you have non alcoholic spirit? Anyway they do have interestingng flavours but it makes an expensive experiment to buy a bottle to try. I think i will . You drink it with tonic so looks like G&T and reduces comments from old fogies. People are more tolerant of non-drinkers these days

You can have a drink , just moderate your consumption, I have the occasional brandy so it's no problem,I'm on uniphyllin 200mg twice a day

I go to the pub 3 times a week.i have 3 or 4 pints with no adverse affects.
