Yesterday I had my annual review at the surgery.

After 9 years of kicking and screaming they have agreed I don't have COPD! With the following message in my records:-

"Coded entry Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease resolved (Xabwy)" and

"Coded entry Asthma - currently dormant (XaDvL)"!

I almost feel like a new man!

Some interesting thoughts!

I live very close to GCHQ and in 1964 went to work in the Soviet Union, several of my neighbours thought I was a spy and stopped talking to my family!

Thanks for the kind thoughts - my Grandmother just missed her 100th by a few weeks.

No CT scan but fortunately the local respiratory team intervened and took over my treatment for life long Atopic Asthma, mainly Symbicort.

The local surgery just refused to change the wrong diagnosis until yesterday!

I will not be leaving the forum with so many fine friends!

I also need to find some more information about NAID (Non Anaemic Iron Deficiency) which I now have.

Taking as many Iron Pills as my old body will allow, but can't have a repeat ferritin test until 30th December.
