Good morning everyone, hope you are all as well as can be 😀

So i am going to get my 1st spirometry results today, 2pm GMT, feeling a little anxious but hopeful.

I have been reading posts everyday, so whether it is COPD or asthma i have gained some insight & have a list of questions.

If you could please keep your fingers crossed, thankyou.

Have a good day,

Verity x

Good luck Verity! It’s good you’ve got questions ready & don’t feel a nuisance asking them.

How did it go, Vee70?

Not too bad (i think) got fev1 70% so i think thats mild isn’t it? The nurse said it’s mostly the asthma component & if i hadn’t got that, then i wouldn’t have known i had the emphysema.

She has changed my inhalers & got 4wk review, if no better then she will refer me to pulmonologist.

Hope you are well x

Down 5%, but nothing to worry about. I still feel like I usually do. Just means I'm back into the mild zone. I'll keep taking the medicine. And singing.

Just discovered on comparing this year's results with last year's, that the nurse accidentally put my age as 33 rather than 64, making my performance look much worse than it actually is. In fact, my lung age has improved from 80 years last year to 63 years this year. So I'm well chuffed.
