Hi Denae011

Nucala is a medication for patients with eosinophilic asthma. Eosinophils are a type of white blood cell that can cause inflammation in the lungs of some patients with asthma. It works by reducing the number of eosinophils in your blood and is administered as a shot under the skin once every 4 weeks.

An FDA advisory committee voted 16-3 against recommending GlaxoSmithKline's mepolizumab (Nucala) as an add-on treatment to inhaled corticosteroid-based maintenance treatments to reduce flare-ups in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). ... Nucala biologic has already approved for severe asthma.

Hope this info helps

I was recommended to have the injection for bronchiectasis

. I had one shot so far, I was told it could take weeks to show a difference.
