Pocket knife saves Canadian man during grizzly bear attack

Amazing story from the nicer side of across the pond, sorry my American buddies, nothing personal.just my biased opinion and a love of Canada.

Cecilia and i once ventured north of Vancouver and skied in the area of this event and thank goodness it was during bear hibernation time, this is the story of one very cool guy with a lot of guts, still intact thankfully and a whole slice of luck.Hope he recovers fully.

What a story 🐻

I've been to Canada a few times but the closest I got to scary was Darth Vader playing a violin. And in fact that was just surreal.

Had it not be so late at night and the fact that i am knackered i would elicit a full explanation HH which i trust and implore you will give me later. :)

Funnily enough, I’d just read this amazing but scarey story on BBC website. I can’t believe that this man survived. Absolutely amazing escape, then biking 4.5 miles in that state of injury. Unbelievable!! Swiss Army knife, I bet!

He tells the story so well too, nightmare stuff. Thank goodness the bears were hibernating when you and Cecilia were skiing down the pistes there....a lucky escape 🐻 :-) xx

Wasn’t that something to do with President Roosevelt and national parks 🐻Or maybe he just liked shooting bears 😳

That’s ringing a bell, HH. I suppose it’s only close up we’d get the real measure of their character in the wild....and not many of us get that close...thankfully in my case! 😀🐻

What a great story of survival. Sadly some are not so lucky. Thank goodness the five men all knew first aid. Life savers. Xxxxx

Cassy it's pretty rare to be attacked by grizzlies and normally a cycle in the mountain forests are far less dangerous than a night out in some of our towns so sleep soundly tonight my love. :) xx

Maybe Walmart needs to hire these teddies south of the Canadian border. They are a lot kinder.
