Hi everyone , I am new to this . I have mild COPD and am often getting chest infections I have now got Pleurisy and was wondering does anybody know how long it takes to clear and feel generally well again . I am worried as I have just started a new Job and don’t want to be taking the time off , at the moment I couldn’t work I feel very tired and weak and ache all over . Does any body know how long this take to clear .

Thanks

There is no long or short answer to this. I have had numerous episodes over the years. Rest and gentle warmth over the painful area helps me. Some over the counter pain medications could help you. Normally I feel better in one or two weeks but I have learnt from experience that it takes longer if I try and push recovery.

I forgot to welcome you to the forum! So a warm welcome to you - you really need to take care of yourself to ensure that mild copd stays that way. Good luck. P
