Lungs deteriorating

Been to my doc's and have to go for a Ct scan on my lungs. Had a breathing test Thursday and failed. My Doc told me my lungs have changed since I was first diagnosed in 2013. My scan is on Tuesday. I just wish to be able to stop coughing, and short of breath.

So sorry to hear that, hopefully it won't be as bad as you fear. Have you been given medication to help you?

Yes i have medication 3 different puffers spiriva, symbacort, ventalin.

Sorry to hear you are not well Helpmeto, fingers crossed they soon get it sorted and you start to feel better, it is probably a flare up or poor control of the symptoms you maybe only need a change of drugs so good luck with the scan, not long to go now will be thinking of you on Tuesday x

Might be worth having a spacer for the inhalers? Also have a swill of water after as it can dry the throat enough to make you cough?

Got them. Been on them for a couple of weeks. The water is important . Will post Tuesday night when I get home

The SOB is terrible - try 'huffing' instead of coughing - less exertion which is always a bonus. Don't forget to post on here after Tuesday - we are all here to support. x

The exertion has been getting me. My chest is tender from coughing. i will post when i get home Tuesday
