I have learnt over the years how to cope with my bronciecsasis? I occupy my mind every minute of the day.Reading)) Writing)) my Computer) watching TV )meditating) repeating affirmations) selective creative visualisations) and listening to music of my youth.(Rocknroll) I take a book to read on the loo Whenever a negative thought comes I start my affirmations. I know when a cold is coming on and I take two paracetamols.before it takes hold The positive affirmations help my attitude to my limited breathing and I live from one day to the next and intend to stay on this planet for as long as possible.

In the words of my good friend Mr Punch, "That's the way to do it!" 👍😉

That’s great, keep doing what you’re doing as it seems to be working well for you. Xxxx

I have just lived my life as a normal person with it. Negative thoughts don't come into it. Strange aren't I.

Ha Ha little pom(Are you a pom) Don't you know there is no such thing as a normal person.(Stange isn't it) What you think is normal could be abnormal . Every body thought Jimmy Saville was normal I have had plenty of negative thoughts in my life but I have learnt from them. It is impossible to go through life with life threatening desease without experiencing pain and suffering which brings on negative thoughts.Maybe you could give me some advice on how to cope living without stress pain depression anxiety fear and anger All different types of negativity I will be very interested

I get my stress, depression and anxiety but it is not due to living with bronch. I was brought up to do everything that everybody else did and never allowed to feel sorry for myself. Hard on me if you think about it but it meant that I have had a 'normal' life, with the addition of the daily routines and coping with exacerbations. It was never put to me that it was a life threatening condition and I would never call it a disease. I am in The Rockies right now, on a very challenging road trip with my daughter and her family. My grandaughter is a teenage type 1 diabetic. Now THAT is a challenge to live with.

Today is my first concession to being a 69 yr old bronch. They have gone on a 9 mile hike complete with bear spray whilst I am going to have a day pottering around the resort and maybe having an afternoon nap.

I have followed your posts. We need such marvellously positive people as you on this site. Stay well.

I just get on with my life the best way I know how. Each to their own. :-)
