How’s everyone coping with this heat wave ? My fan had become my best friend these past few days , moving around seems such hard work 😳 anyway if anyone has got some tips on how to cope then I’m all ears 😊

Good morning cales and Happy Wednesday to everyone ⭐️👍,
Sorry I don’t any tips for you the only thing I can think of doing is buying another fan and maybe a hand held one that’s if hubby is up for going out for them for me 👌. The heat is just making life so miserable going from one extreme to the other. I keep myself cool with having a few cloths in cold water but but due to having an infection I start shivering and burning up at same time . Sorry wish I could be of help . I hope you manage to enjoy some of your day but it sounds as if you’re a bit like myself don’t go out or can’t go out in that weather . I wish you well and hope you got through the day/night 👍 okay all the best take care 🌹🌹
I do have a hand fan which is actually very good got it from amazon came with two batteries that can be recharged if I have to go outside for anything I tend to take it with me 😊
Hope your infection soon gets better shazrab take care 😊
I have found that putting the inside of my wrists under cold water does seem to help. The blood supply is so near the surface here, that it seems to gently cool the body down. The ice cubes in my fridge go into a bowl of water, rather than a drink.
I am off to see if I can find out how much water drunk, is too much, as I use rehydration sachets, for at least one of my drinks a day, as had read in the past, that too much water is not that good, so need to find out how much is too much!!
i'm just hot coughing and breathless i'm afraid i'll be glad when this heat has blown over
Lesley, either put your knickers in the fridge or book a last minute adventure to the highlands for some cool weather with associated rain.Seriously i have no useful suggestions other than to use that fan frequently and drink plenty of liquids.hope the return to cooler weather later in the week brings you some respite.
Love ski's and Scruff's x
Hi Cales
I have a tip for you if you drape damp towels over something then from 3ft put a fan so as to blow the air through the edge of towels you will cool the room down a little more works very well.
