I'm going to see the roommate Monday and demand basically that he remove the air freshener I'm going to tell him he has liver disease from drinking too much I'm going to tell him what he is doing to me is like me pouring alcohol down his throat with liver disease. I have another roommate I call him the thing that lives and it's room this winner has been living there for 6 months it don't work it don't leave its room it don't leave the house the only time it ever leaves its room is to go to the bathroom I never seen anything like it in my lifeI put the towel under the door so I don't have to smell the air freshener and the thing that lives in his room to aggravate me is pulling the towel away as soon as I leave the house can't live like this anymore folks something's gotta change who would have ever thought that something as small as an air freshener would do this to me you got to laugh sometimes.went to the beach yesterday went for a swim it was lightning outI said to myself maybe a lightning bolt will hit me and I will have no more worries but with my luck it'll paralyze me from the neck down they will stick me in a hospital in a room forever with an air freshener in it and I won't be able to move to remove the damn thing lol.compromise is very hard for Me iIhave no skills with compromise and I find it very difficult to compromise with anything especially my life.i will let u know what the roommate says about it when I see him tomorrow either way folks I have gotta figure out how to get my own place even if it means getting a second job

Do what you need to do hope in a calm yet assertive way. See what happens. I wish you well. Xxxx
You sound a little mean. Maybe they aren't aware that it is bothering you.
Good luck. Hope you manage to sort things out so that your home is a better place for you.
Have you tried inviting them in for a coffee and explaining exactly what effect this is having on your lung condition, both in the short and long term, as at the moment they may just think you are being deliberately awkward? Conversely, give them Oust to use which is scentless and the only one I can tolerate. Or open a window.
I do hope you can do it in a calm way, anger & aggression only breed more of the same as does passive aggressive behaviour. Might be worth a little research in to assertive negotiations to get a reasonable solution.
Do you have to share your apartment/flat with such people?
