COPD
Hi Bugat
I don’t know what stage you are at, I am moderate. I try to stay as active as possible, wash my hands frequently, take vitamins, get my flu and pneumonia shots, and drink lots of water. I am on a daily inhaler. Fortunate that at present I don’t have any other health problems. I find bending over gets me breathless and have had to adjust how I do some things in the garden. I’m sure others will come along with more and better advice.
Adding to pepapod's good advice, as well as washing your hands, try to keep them away from your eyes, nose and mouth unless they are scrupulously cleaned - these are the main transmission routes for infection.
There are useful products like First Defence which you can buy at Boots and squirt up your nose when you are around infected people. Also try to keep infected people, including family, away from you. This can take some education to help people who probably dont know much about copd understand what is involved.
Keep warm in winter as getting cold lowers your immune system. So always have a scarf round your neck, and you can use a buff to pull up over your nose. I have had infections leading to pneumonia from my neck getting very cold.

And exercise of course - the more you can manage, the more you will benefit but always start from what you can manage and slowly increase having checked it's ok to do it with your doctor. Also so many of us have benefited from doing pulmonary rehabilitation, exercises and education for people with lung conditions, and your GP can refer you to this.
All the info you have been given by the other members of the site, is great advice and you should try to incorporate it into your normal daily routines but dont forget you must only do what you can manage, i walk daily and do Tai Chi it helps with my breathing and keeps my relatively fit.
Good luck 😀👍
