Hi, I recently began a keto diet which is very low carbs and no sugar. Seems to be helping with my breathing and also lost a few pounds. I also take supplements.

Would not the weight loss help with the breathing ??

As l am in a catch 22 situation ,exercise IMPOSSIBLE so

cannot lose weight that way.Because l am 4 stone above

my norm, breathing stops most thing although l can still

climb stairs where l rest for 5-10 mins. ??

Try seated chair dancing and exercising to get started, or using a seated pedal machine. If your muscles start to tone you will start to use oxygen more efficiently and become a little less breathless or be able to do a little more before you become breathless.

I go to the gym every day and it does marvel for me

Nothing is impossible, you can try chair based yoga, very gentle movements, when you are lying on your bed, ensure you are comfortable, both knees bent, slowly bring one knee towards your chest, on the exhalation, slowly lower the foot on the inhalation. repeat with other opposite leg. This is a greatly modified 'gas ejector'. The same technique can be done standing up, holding onto the chair. Please ensure your teacher is fully knowledgeable and understands your condition fully. Do NOT work from books .

Plenty organic fresh veg & fruit especially high in antioxidants. Plants that increase the oxygen in your home x

I can't do much excersise either but I think it's more the inflammation in the body is reduced with the keto diet. I take a magnesium supplement and MAC and multivitamin. I've only been doing the diet for 5weeks but feel so much more energetic x

Magnesium ,Kelp for Iodine. That being the main one we lose rapidly as we age.

Astaxanthin,D3 ,Hemp Seed Oil and Garlic for good measure.

Vivante profile image
Vivante in reply tosyntax

Please do not take Kelp, it may tip you into the borders of Hypothyroidism. You can get iron from the foods you eat.

This is not for Iron,it is to replace Iodine the body

loses over time. !

I take Vit D3 10,000 IU every other day and Magnesium every other day too.

I also take Boswellia high potency .

I cannot say for certain, but I feel the Boswellia made a difference about 4 weeks after starting taking it.

iherb.com/pr/Savesta-Boswel...

No harm in trying it is there.

best wishes.

Well...oh well....I believe that we must leave the body to do its work, even though I'm using zillions of drugs...too much to my liking, but still, here's the healthful stuff that I use every day.....Echinaforce / infection....Esterfied Vitamin C / Infection and boosting body's defence...Nebulising once a day with 3 % saline solution....lemon water sweeten with honey/ clears muck....green tea/ overall wellness...yes the struggle is still there, but at least i know that i am trying to get my power back, not giving it all to the doctor...about 30 % to me and 70 % to doc..lol
