One tip for sciatica is to have the length of your legs checked. Human bodies are not perfect. If one leg is longer or shorter than the other, this can easily cause back problems.

I often self-diagnose my health problems and often find the answers to my problems on my own or after realizing the doctor isn't going to find it for me. I do believe in doctors but only if they are working in my interest

You sound like me! I try to discover what is wrong with me. When I figure it out..I then go to the Doctor! Because 20 years ago 3 Doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with me! I had these itchy scabs like all over my body for 9 months! I read every book I could! Finally went to a Medical college and they discovered a Tumor! It was Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. The first chemo..the itching stopped! Finally! The cancer doc(5th doc) said'Why didn't those Doctors know what it was! Itching is a first symptom!" Chemo was a breeze compared to 9 months of itching hell! Janet127

My RTA in 1977 left me with my right leg shorter than my left leg, which caused a lot of problems for my back. Then I had a right knee replacement in 2004 and my right leg became longer than my left leg, which created a whole new set of problems for my back. Very grateful for the osteopaths who have helped me work through these problems.
