Birthday flowers

I really love to receive flowers but as I'm sure you will all appreciate, sorting them out and putting them in the right vase is a mission. I sound really ungrateful, I know. For my Birthday yesterday I received 3 bunches. Well actually 2 bunches and 1 Bouquet. All looking poorly today. I have exhausted myself trying to save them. All flowers are from people who have said that they understand my condition. There are 52 weeks in a year so why don't they speak to each other and spread the flowers over the weeks so that I can enjoy them instead of wearing myself out trying to keep them alive. Thank god I remembered to tell my daughter not to send me flowers this week, send them just out of the blue. Lovely surprise and an uplift 😇👌😍ps I would have added the photos of my flowers but don't know how😕

It's lovely to receive flowers, but like you it takes me such a long time to sort them out. And a happy belated birthday, have a lovely weekend and take care of yourself 😊 Bernadette xx

Hope you enjoyed your birthday and have a good weekend. Maybe the flowers will survive. Don’t worry. Xxxxx

I know what you mean, having received 4 lots for my birthday back in Apri. It was a struggle to find vases & I was going away for a few days so rather a waste. One bouquet included those huge pink lillies the scent can be overpowering after a day or so & when we got home I had to get rid of then because of the smell.

Do you think wearing a pollen mask would work.

Have not read other replies so hope l am not copying.

It does seem a bit ungrateful not to be pleased to receive them. I give and receive plants instead now which is great, especially when they plant then out for me as well. 😉

Most flowers make me sneeze, over the years people have begun to learn, as I used to give them to my neighbours!! People would say, well my friend found thesse OK so you will. A new neighbour did not know of my problem but wanted to say thanks for a little hepl I had given her, I got a small bunch of daffs, not showy, did not make me sneeze and did not need large vase. She said she always gives little bunches of bright daffs when she does not know someone well, as usually OK.

Not what you're looking for?
