I am told by my doctor , that I have acid reflux. The medication I take inhaler , 5mg Prednisolone, but I am still coughing all day .
I have clear mucus , which I have to clear by coughing all the time , is there any medication I can take to reduce this clear mucus which is very stringy , look forward to hearing from anyone who has similar .problem

Many of us have silent reflux Smyth - it goes with the copd territory (if that's your dx). Apart of any other reasons, the prednisolone wont be helping as it makes the stomach far more acid.
You dont say if your GP hasnt prescribed anything for this. Usually they give drugs from the class called proton pump inhibitors e.g. omeprozole, lansoprozole (which I take). So you could ask him/her about those. Be aware though that they have side effects, one being that with less stomach acid you can become deficient in some important nutrients such as magnesium and calcium. I take supplements to avoid that.
I still get the mucus though but happy to just clear it by coughing as I dont want to take more meds. But do talk to your doctor about it if it continues to bother you.
