I wanted to be off by now

But had a nasty cough.

Dolly doesn't mind much

She's happy to just sit there

But Scarecrow Sal is right put out

And doesn't think it's fair

I've told her that I won't be long

I'll just get this bit writ

And it will give her plenty of time

To tidy herself up a bit

Ah!....What memories we Dads have. Fortunately there's one big difference here. I can shove them in a cupboard and shut the door, an option that I used to wish I had many years ago. 😊 Midge is fully occupied barking at traffic wardens and other uniformed officials.
