Good Morning Everyone hope you are all as well as can be. My husband John who has PF is managing it quite well. He has had it for 3 years. Recently he has lost a lot of weight (mostly muscle). I know this is usual with PF but wondered if there is a good protein drink that will help him gain some weight. He goes to our local gym for light exercises 3 times a week and drinks Whey beforehand but that doesn’t seem to help. Any advice please. Carole

Morning Carole, it’s good to hear that John is doing well. There are many protein drinks on the market so maybe try Holland & Barrett who might be able to advise you.
Wishing you and John well. Carole xxxxxxx
The things you have to be aware of are the fibre the body needs, when you take in fibre! Your body has something solid to chew on so to speak!
The pluses with smoothies is, instant nourishment, downside is no fibre, the best thing is chewing! I have every illness possible lol.
I have noticed my ability to eat all my meal/s at once is becoming limited, but I still chew as much as I can.
Give him smaller amounts, chop the food into smaller pieces, l have a advantage, I am about 50kg overweight, so. My body has huge reserves!
Your GP should subscribe Fortisip Compact Protein drinks if his weight loss is excessive. Good luck. Mx
Are yes. Not prescribed in Spain. I've been in the UK since November. Really bad infection and still recovering. The UK NHS has been fantastic. My daughter and her partner want me to stay here with them. So I've decided to do so. Pleased to say I'm up to 47 kilos. Its been a hard struggle. Hope you get what you need. Mx
Sorry to hear you have been unwell since November, hopefully well on the mend now. I am sure you have made the right decision to stay in the UK where you have family. I know John would hate to go back and the hot weather does not seem to affect him but the cold and damp does. I do miss family but I have been going over for a few days by myself, although John did come with me at the end of March and was not phased by the air journey and did quite well climbing lots of stairs to our bedroom in my daughters house. It’s the winter I worry about going back when
everyone seems to have colds. All the best to you Michelle and enjoy your time with family. Carole 😘😘
