Is there anything better than malted milk biscuits and piping hot tea ? , everytime i see or smell ( my sense of smell hasnt been affected by copd in fact the opposite has happened its gotten more acute) malted milk im transported back to my childhood, i can see myself queuing up to pay my 1d for either 3 malted milk or 1 jammie dodger and that wonderful ( always warm) free school milk, then it was off to read janet and john books with my teacher miss dagastani , ( who by the way was a typical 60s girl ) she had a massive blond beehive hairstyle and if we had been good all week after break on a friday afternoon would bring out her record player and play some beatles records , our headmaster mr twist ( i met his son by chance about 5yrs ago and regaled him of his dads no nonsense approach to headmastery lol) used to walk past give us a stern look and walk off shaking his head ( he always said he had two pairs of shoes 1 which used to squeak to warn us he was coming " which meant he was in a good mood" and the other pair silent like a submarine to catch us being naughty ) but i digress back to malted milk , the ones we had used to have sports scenes football hockey etc and the aforementioned miss dagastani used to do a count of each sport on the biscuits and that would be our sports lesson
I know this has nothing to do with respiratory matters but im sure we all go back in time to healthier times where we had no responsibilities except to get home quick when we heard our names shouted or we got a message " your mums looking for you " lol, have a breath easy day everyone

Glad you liked it ,sometimes we just need to forget about today ( those who practice mindfulness perhaps might not agree with their " live in the now , the moment doctrine" ) and lose oneself
Ah it’s so nice to reminisce, I still buy malted milk but with the chocolate on one side. I have s couple before bed with my Ovaltine lol, not every night I still like a few Vodka tonic and lime 😂😂
Reminds of the broken biscuits that grocers used to sell at greatly reduced prices. Now I pay full price for them as the online delivery blokes throws then through the door when I'm not watching! 🙄

Hi Don, I remember asking my mum for two pennies so I could call at the shop to buy some broken biscuits happy days it was a treat. Majt! 😃
I still call them cow biscuits, I still buy them and I still eat them in the same way as I did when I was a child.....nibble around the edges until left with the cow picture.
Good memories, as far as I am concerned all my hunger pangs relate to smell, malt, chocolate, strawberrys, bananas, mangos and many more. Malt for me is the smell of codliver oil with malt (the stuff in a jar). Most of my life my parents were not in the UK so once I was at school did not see them over the short cold breaks, just in the summer. One year their break co-insided with the Xmas hols, I had bad asthma as a child, and Mother was looking after a pug dog, with very bad snores. Every morning the dog and I got lined up, the codliver oil and malt jar came out, and both the pug and I got dosed (no change of spoon!!) Both the dog and I loved the stuff!!
Maybe you can help clear up a great controversy... Are the nice biscuits pronounced Nice as in the place, or nice as in pleasant? I’ve always thought Nice as in the place but maybe they’re nice biscuits, in which case what a great name! What a great marketing move to call your biscuits nice 😎
