Lung nodule

I have had some really good news today. I had a letter from my lung consultant to say that the large nodule they found was much more probably old scarring and not a nodule at all, so I do not have to have any more scans, except routine ones. As he said, at least some good news, although that remark does sound a bit two edged!

It sounds like good news but as you say it sounds a bit two edged. If there are no nodules why the routine scans? I have past lung scarring & COPD /asthma but don't have any routine scans or chest xrays, just an annual breathing test. The treatment varies so much from area to area. But many best wishes that this is a sign you will remain healthy for a long time to come xx
