Transplant assesment process finally completed

Back at whythenshawe transplant centre yesterday ( this process has taken months for one reason and another) saw the surgeon finially and had to ask some tough questions which to give him his due he answered truthfully now its wait until after the mdt meeting and their decision ,oh more gumpf to read

Hi, like yourself i have recently been through the assessment at wythenshaw and was amused about the trip to bone desity at the other end of the hospital in the way you explained it. I would just like to wish you the best of luck for the future and keep positve.

Got to wait until the 12th before i recieve their decision on my suitability or not as ot may be either way im prepared for both outcomes

Scary stuff hugh ,its all a bit frankenstiens monsterish to me ,its a very serious decision ,quality of life is my benchmark ,i still get out with my mates go abroad twice a year have a lovely partner who makes life better and im really happy but ( theres always a but) i know im at end stage lung disease and tbey dont offer transplants unless they think a transplant will improve and make you live longer but its a big risk ,i have some more serious thinking b4 the 12th of this month ,then again they might say im unsuitable ,
