Update

Hi. I posted about my mum who has COPD and is due to have open heart surgery. We have the date and it’s on Tuesday. I am so so scared and I just need some support and maybe some of you could tell me some of your stories if you’ve been in a similar situation? I know I’ve asked this before but it’s so comforting to know others have been through the same thing and survived it all ok.

Will be thinking of you and your mum next Tuesday. I think it's highly unlikely they'd operate if they didn't think she was well enough for the op.

My dad had open heart surgery, twice! And survived it ok.

It is scary though. It’s a long operation and feels like forever waiting so be strong for yourself and for your mum. I’ll be thinking of you both next week.

I don't know what to say as I have not been in this position but please know that all the people on this site are praying for her and wishing her luck. I am in the last stage of pulmonary disease and am okay with that....wish it was not so but life doesnt always deall Aces and the pot of gold to everyone. May your family be blessed with God's love and your mother's healing. My prayers are with you and your family....
