consolidation of left lung.

please bear with me i am new to this site. I visited the doctors 4 times with a small change at the end of my breath (and back pain ) and four times i was sent away, and on the fifth occasion was sent for xray 2 find i had a consolidation on left lung. was given antibiotics and fresh xrays, and now its gone. But my main issue is the afterpain (like recovering from being hit hard on mainly shoulder area). also i seem 2 be catching the cold more often which seems 2 only accentuate the pain, would this be right and would being taken so long 2 be diagnosed be detrimental 2 my rate of recovery.

Personal experience only - after consolidation of lower lobe left lung- after it cleared on X-ray still had 'aching ' type pain in back and shoulder for 6/8 weeks at least. Was told that is not unusual also to take it steady for a couple of months after and still rest when felt it was needed. It does take a while to recover fully from I found..
