Cant get to see doctor.: I will try... - Lung Conditions C...
Cant get to see doctor.
How you doing this evening why don't you phone 111 say your concerns they may help
Good idea to write your symptoms and readings down.
There is an organisation in the UK called No Panic.....they have a helpline.
Also the BLF.on 03000 030 555.
Best wishes.
Take care and chase the doctor up if you are concerned. Or if it gets worse call an ambulance.
Do let us know how you get on with your Doctor, won't you? Keeping a record of the feelings, anxiety, panic etc and Oxo levels will be very warmly received by your GP. Take notes if you are able to during your appointment, because it's handy to read over a bit later on. I do this as I can't always recall what was said etc!!!! Good luck!
If you are still waiting to see your gp then do phone the BLF helpline.
They are sure to be able to help you. Feeling constantLy anxious is very tiring.
Take care.
Does your doctor have emergency appointments available each day, I can ring up first thing in the morning and usually get one.
I feel for u . I have been in my home for weeks at a time n i get panic attacks if i am out too long. I take spiriva ..advair ..n emergency puffer. I saw a therapist n she immediately put me on Alprazalam xanex.some of the inhalers Make your heart race n she gives xanex to people with copd. I cancel appt cause sometimes it takes too much energy to get out. Getting portable O2 tanks ready n I live on the 12th floor n my car is in the garage under the building .so it's not like i can just leave. I haven't found. Change of O2 levels change my personality changes. Talk to your doctor about the meds that might have steroids in them n can make your heart race. Good luck n hope u get past this hurdle

Hi Bobbyfloyd, I can empathize with you. I suffer from panic attacks and anxiety, made worse when I'm unwell and on steroids. It's not unusual for people with our sort of conditions to have panic attacks. I have a particular problem being in the shower and washing my hair and having water pouring over my head. I can highly recommend a website called panicshutdown.co.uk. You have to pay a subscription. I subscribed when Matt, the owner was offering a special offer of £50 to be a member. It really has helped me no end. It has loads of advice and techniques which I find so useful. I even 'talk' to my panic attack and it really helps me stay in control. It's worth having a look at the website. It's also worth having a chat with your doctor who may recommend something like Lorazapam. By the way, I use the same medication that you've listed so we have something in common. Let us know how you get on. Hugs. Christina
My dr put me on hydroxyzine pamoate.I was taking Symbicort and Spiriva when I first started taking it.It takes about 15-30 minutes to work but it does help me.It is not habit forming and I have not had any side effects from it.
