Back pain
Yes I have bronchiectasis and left back, shoulder and neck pain. My GP thinks it may be a trapped nerve and I am waiting for an orthopaedic appointment. I don’t know whether it is the bronchiectasis or lugging the oxygen about, so my Christmas present was a wheeled oxygen cylinder carrier, which the oxygen suppliers don’t have. It has helped a bit.
Just been for x-ray and waiting for results have had the pain since xmas
I’ve had it since August, saw dr in November and was referred to hospital, I am seeing gp again on Tuesday and will see if I can hurry things up, although I did have an X-ray at our local community hospital before the referral, so he will be able to explain that at least. Meanwhile I have an appointment at another hospital to see the ophthalmologist about my second cataract operation, and yet another for a follow up scan and then the original hospital to see the lung consultant who might be able to give me more information if it is caused by bronchiectasis! All great fun!
Yes i often get back pain and my left arm aches a lot .
Before the drs said its not rekated but now over the years the pain gets worse when an infection is coming.
My recent dr said its related for sure. As the lungs are often in distress causing pain in other areas.
When its bad i take pain relief .
X-ray is good as well to rule out trapped nerves .
Good luck 😎
Hi,
I get left back, shoulder and arm pain, which gets worse with activity and eating. I had a lung x-ray, but that hadn't altered since 2016. Could it be bronchiectas? I've got physiotherapy to help and use a microwave heat pad on the sore areas - I find that very helpful. When I saw the lung consultant last year he told me it was unrelated to my lungs, I thought this very odd as I have severe emphysema. I've applied for pulmonary rehab, as I thought my upper body is weak, due to the pain and thought maybe this could help.
Take care - it is surprisingly painful and makes breathing harder.
I had back pain (in the middle of the back) for a long time, which was like a heart pain, this proved to be acid reflux and the omerprozole I take daily now has cured this. It could be a number of things.Hope you get some help soon x
I get back pain but that's from my lungs being inflamed. Maybe a massage is what you need. They'll tell u if you have tension or knots. Hope that helps xx
I have asthma and aspergillosis, my right upper arm and my back around the lung area shoulder area really hurt me most of the time. I’m sure it’s related to the lungs.
