Of course you're tired. I would think exhausted is more likely. 3 chest infections is enough to knock anyone. If you haven't already had a chest x-ray then you should definitely have one. Surprised that your doctor hasn't already ordered one. Are you in the UK? All the best
Lung disease makes us tired, but having an infection on top of it just wipes us out completely. I think it's a good idea to have the doctor check you over thoroughly. Please do take lots of rest and warm , healthy food. I find cooking a huge pot of vegetable and chicken broth helps so much. It's one of the things I try to do when I have the energy.
Hi, Please also get your heart checked out as constant infections can damage the heart. Having lost my lovely Steve to this horrid COPD it was his heart that became really affected without me knowing. So please take extra care and push them to check you out!
It may well be that you have not had 3 infections but the one that has not cleared? I cannot take the normal AB's now and need stronger to get it first time?
Sorry to hear this but not surprised youβre tired. Definitely get a sputum sample youβve had 3 in a row and try get referrred to a specialist respiratory consultant. Not breathing properly is really exhausting sometimes.
I went through all that and more. If you have been on Steroids for long I would ease off them, if you are smoking that will be the number 1 to get rid of. I am 4 months free now. If you are on inhailers ask the Dr to change any that have Steroids. Since stopped smoking and steroid inhailers have been like a new man. Got lot of strength back, very little caughing. Google steroids and read after effects it will shock you. Doctors will try insist you take the Prendison/Prendislone but think about it. Am just saying about my experience, you have to decide.
