Prednisone &Doxycillan for Christmas

Lucky me,I've got a chest infection just in time for Christmas!! I don't feel too rough,other than the manky cough&worsening asthma.. lol!!!! Hopefully the meds will kick in soon!!

Be sure to protect your stomach if you’re new to those meds I got ulcers from that combo

I'm just getting over a chest infection. Doing nothing and amoxycillin had no effect but doxycillin has made me much better. Not fixed but i only get a bit out of breath getting a cup of tea as apposed to having to lean on the counter until some oxygen started circulating. Onwards and upwards

Don't worry your not alone im on 2nd course of antolibotics but feel rotten wedge fracture playing up as well just to make me feel worse anti flammatory tablets as well not quite feeling the love of xmas today hope 2019 a damm sight better than this year 😢

Good excuse to have a hot toddy but not sure it goes withe the pills you are taking for the infection, maybe stick to a hot cuppa instead and keep warm. Hope you feel better soon .

Hi

I had 2 weeks of amoxicillin and steroids with little effect. 3 days of Doxycycline and I felt like a new man. Persevere and good luck.

Thanks everyone &sorry there's so many of u feeling rough!! Amoxicillin never works for me!! Dr doesnt prescribe it for me now.

I hope you feel better soon. It’s horrid to feel so rough, especially at Christmas. I know at least 3 of us who are on home IVs at the moment and it is so waring. I do hope you feel an improvement soon.

I've been lucky enough to have one of them just in time for Xmas 2 courses of antibotics as well as anti flammatory so what does it decide to do yep that's righthe it wants to see the new year in with me crackles and all wonderful start of a new year was hoping to end the year with a better chest my chest thought otherwise give me some frigging good luck and good news please 😢

Happy New Year Hun, I also started my Prednisolone Yesterday as Much as I hate taking them I felt it was the right Time to Breathe a Bit Better, Hence why I didn't Join in the New Year festivities. So, this time I am doing the Filtering down from 6 to 1, hate the side affects, but , we must rely on them. Hope you feel better Soon . Enjoy the New Year as best you can Huni.
