Haha ski school can always count on you!

in reply toskischool

Well you certainly haven't got copd! x

I have not been worried about COPD as much as I worry about ILD yikes! Super scared right now because I don't like the small airway number and how my chest and back feel.

Any concern with this number

I could not do that part of the test no matter how hard I tried, repeatedly. I was told that it did not matter, it just gave a bigger overall picture. There could have been a faulty seal on the door of the booth even. Yes I agree with the others, very good lungs.

You have good lungs Hidden . Take good care of them. xx

in reply toCaspiana

Thank you. I am happy with all the above besides the RAQ at 66%. It's an outlier

You have zero idea how to read these? I have not a clue what language that is let alone how to read it. :)

I have just been for another lung function test but as I have never been given the results of these, I honestly do not understand any of it. I always feel so ignorant and uninformed when I read posts such as these but judging by the comments of others, you appear to be in pretty good form.

Insist on getting the results if you want them and ask them to explain them to you. x

in reply togreatauntali

Yes you can have your specialist explain it to you. I started doing research online and now have a fairly good idea on whats going on.

Some of the data you've posted doesn't make sense to me:

Is that first measure FVC, not FEV?

If it is FEV, where is the FVC measure?

in reply tosoulsaver

FVC 99% I missed that. I am concerned about the 66% small airway

soulsaver profile image
soulsaver in reply to

FVC is a volume expressed in litres. it'll be like 5.5 or 5.9 or there about.

Can you see it?

Can you scan the results and post a pic of them up?

in reply tosoulsaver

5.7 I tried to copy and paste the report but no luck

soulsaver profile image
soulsaver in reply to

If that's correct then the Fev1/Fvc ratio you've posted is also.. incorrect.

You'd need to start a new thread to post up the scan - I believe you can only post pics on the initial post in a thread...

in reply tosoulsaver

That's what my report says pred 82 actual 80 % predicted 96

soulsaver profile image
soulsaver in reply to

If had posted exactly that it would make sense :)

Your Fev1/Fvc ratio 4.53/5.7 = 79.47% - and is also within the normal range.

in reply tosoulsaver

yes a lot of the numbers look great except the small airway at 66%

in reply tosoulsaver

Ha sme googling the crap out of small airway disease lol! Smack palm to forehead

in reply tosoulsaver

I see what you are saying. I guess I'm 80% and expected is 82 for my age sex etc. So close enough.

You know I am going to do my best. Stopped smoking 4 months ago now? Never going back, never realy liked it. Only socially but would heavily smoke socially uhhh

You also had a CT scan right? That would have alerted to any small airway disease. According to my Radiologist friend!!! Hope that calms your mind.

it does thank you! Hope everyone enjoys the day evening and Halloween!

Let's count the ways of exams I have been through, both here in US and in the UK

3 EKG's, one EKG stress test, 3 chest x rays, 3 panels of blood, urinalysis, one venous blood gas test, one spirometer exam, one CT ANGIO Chest with Contrast exam. All tell me I'm healthy, but my body and mind just are not agreeing! This doesn't include acupuncture, massage therapy, chiro trips, counseling, church, crying, praying... the list goes on and on!

Life is good but it has been some ride the past 14 weeks.

You are very healthy!! Get regular check ups and tests....and relax, I know it's hard when we have our minds so overwhelmed with worry...but when we relax, little by little...we feel alot better.

Meg

in reply tomegshafer

I agree with you on that one. The more I relax, the more my chest relaxes, the less I get done with work ha! :) love ya Meg thank you!
