Update on pain.....

So I went to the doctors this morning and it turns out I have pluresy and a chest infection the pain is related to the pluresy I have to go for a chest xray tomorrow. I've also been given some strong painkillers to help with the pain. I am relieved it's nothing more than that really. 😊

Good that you know pleurisy is very painful, but the X-ray will confirm it and check on fluid/infection.

Hot wat bottles are nice and soothing for it.

I would advise you keep a diary maybe just on your phone even of want your taking and when as when your on pain and tired it's soemtimes easy to forget, so that way your make sure you don't accidently overdo it. You can take paracetamol and ibruprofen together, but depends on what the dr hasn't prescribed.

Usually after a week it starts to ease slightly then gets better by the day but you really do need a good few weeks on warmth and rest so take it slow.

Thankyou shancock. My husband has been very good and took all the kids out today to give me a break! All I need now is for him to do that everyday....... 😂

I know what you mean I've got kids they are older now but yes it's really hard, I'm not great ATM either, it's hard. Colouring books, a good movie an endless snacks helps keep them happy!
