2 year cough

I have now been coughing for two years. I have had all the tests available. I have had a endoscopy,broncoscopy, allergy test,ashma test, one doctor put a small camera thru my nose without sedation, xray, ct scan. All of this came back very healthy despite being a mid range smoker. im 28 started smoking when i was 18 and have now quit, and still no sign of coughing easing up.

I also swallowed some radioactive material and was monitored and got diagnosed with a hiatal hernia. upon a second test my hiatal hernia wasnt apparent. Apparently it can disappear. The specialist are not clear on whether or not my cough is from my hiatal hernia...????apparently not. Ive not tried taking acid reflux tablet which ive been on for 3 days but no sign of easing up. Im in good physical shape, very athletic.

I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis when I was 19, i stayed on meds for this up until i was 23. I went all organic for 12 months and stopped taking medication. I do not take any medication for my colitis.

Please somebody help me. I cant stop coughing.

Is your cough productive or dry? Does it bring up mucus or is it just caused by a tickle in the throat that never stops?

Hi Ergendi, thanks for your reply. Sometimes my cough has clear flem but a lot of the time it is dry.

Try Vocal Zone cough lozenges. I use them when I get a tickle in my throat that stops me from singing. As I sing a lot and lead singing groups I needed something effective to make sure I can do my job despite the cough. They can stop the tickle enough for me to sing for an hour after.
