I had to finish work at the end of March due to worsening health. I applied for ESA. Filled in all the forms but I've still had to send them sicknotes. I got a letter today telling me that from 21st June I will placed in the support group. Will I still have to send in sicknotes?

Not usually. If you've been placed in the support group you should have a letter to explain that they've contacted your GP and you don't need to send any more certificates.
The letter is numbered ESA72 and the information about Medical Certificates is on page 2.
Glad to help nowheeze..... I hated having to finish work I had a lovely job which I thoroughly enjoyed.. At the moment I'm in limbo, I'm trying to find a hobby but I'm too breathless and too damn tired ha ha. Hope all goes well for you xx
When I did mine I included a prescription sheet with all my Meds on and my last couple of hospital discharge papers and also any letters from my consultants. I also asked work to provide a list of all my sickness absences from work over the past year, they were also kind enough to write a letter stating what restricted me from keeping my job. Try to give them as much info and proof as you can. Xx
I have just filled in all the forms again as they want to review me. I am on support group, I had a nightmare getting it in the first place and had to go to tribunal who stated I should never of had to go to tribunal in the first place?
