Had a spirometry today as I've been feeling short of breath.
I'm 33, female, 176cm, overweight, former smoker
FEV1 3.76 (101%)
FVC 4.87 (111%)
but the one I am worried about is the ratio which is 77%, thats very border line to "low" for my age. Should I be worried? Doc just said keep an eye on it but I'd rather take action now if required.

I am female and 41, I've been told no COPD an I have had a CT scan to check which was fine, I have asthma but it's mild and controlled well with my preventer.
I'll be honest I'm not sure what they mean! But my letter said it was all good and no need to worry, so yours don't seem too dissimilar I don't think so I wouldn't worry too much.
I'm seeing my consultant in a few weeks and we'll go over them then so maybe ask your dr or specilaitist if you have one.
Your FEV1 is over 100% and your FEV1/FVC ratio is 77%. To be diagnosed with COPD I believe your FEV1 would need to be below 100% and your FEV1/FVC ratio below 70%. Generally an FEV1 between 80% and 100% is considered mild COPD if you FEV1/FVC ratio is below 70%. If your FEV1/FVC ratio is above 70% and FEV1 between 80 and 100 can be considered low end of normal. Of course I am not a doctor so there may be other things I am unaware of so discussing your results with a doctor should give you the definitive answer.
