Anyone had any experience of using cough expectorant wile taking amoxicillin.
Needless to say am back at doctors as flu š¤§ is not budging and chest is still upper congested.
I feel dog š¶ ruff with spells of hot cold AND like going to pass out.
Have checked my satās bp heart rate and relatively normal blood oxygen 93+
It sounds as if you have what I had JAS. I would ask your pharmacy or surgery if the two can be taken together.

Last time seen doctor he said flu as to run its curse LIKE I donāt have chronic lung disease.
Box said could have side effect if take paracetamol.
Donāt take it then. I know that Pete couldnāt take it.

One time my pharmacist recommended ivy leaf expectorant, I got pastilles but I think you can also get a cough syrup. Itās a natural product so shouldnāt be a problem with other medications though maybe you ought to check first. I hope you start feeling better soon.

I did, Never again, I overdosed on cheap of the shelf cough medicines for my continuous 24 hour cough, ended up going to Hospital as it caused a Bowel problem , as soon as I stopped Medicine, the Bowel went back to normal, Antibiotics cleared the Cough, it was a Nightmare having that particular "Cough" Will only take medicine on recommendation from Doctor.

Thatās my conclusion too itās not even thined it.
I was like that earlier in the year! I thought I would cough one of my vital organs up!! I was on Amoxycillin as well. What gave me my first decent sleep was Boots Glycerin, Honey and Lemon linctus. Babies over one years old.and pregnant women can have this ( a good sign for me!} It means it isn't heavily medicated, it just coats the throat and soothes it.I always have some in now. ( I have pulmonary fibrosis)

To be honest my mums been on lemons š and she been ok

I would have had to wait 2 weeks for an appointment to find this out.i am on high risk but the receptionist s still give every available appointment to our new immigrant friends ??????????
Just tell them by the time that appointment arrives, you will be dead, generally wakes them up
everthing is underfunded over stretched YET itās sick disabled at front line.
You watch 24 hours in AE and things people go Hospital for .. last time I was in doctors hospital was full of polish ANYONE would think the had no nhs.
My dadās dad and heās thought for what we have over here perhaps others should do same in there home lands.
Sorry to hear you still have a virus/ infection running wild. Ive got symptoms like a cold myself must be those winter bugs as I have had my flu injection. So far controlled with cold remedies, hope you start to feel better soon.

Seems lots are getting flu before the injection is available this year. Hope you are beginning to feel better, my physio is being changed in a fortnights time apparently it takes around six months to get the strength back after a broken bone and they think there will be some pain left due to nature of injury and personal health history. Hey ho more for the insurance to hold against me .Its wet here today so time to stay in and have a lazy day. Take care speak to you again soon.
Iāve always been advised not to take any over the counter cough medicines. We cough for a reason, to clear gunk, so to suppress the cough isnāt a good idea. Thatās what gp/hospital have told me. Joy.

This is the stuff I got,its purpose is just to make your throat etc more comfortable and less sensitive. Its not a powerful expectorant or anything like that.I use it for soothing purposes!
