Lung crackle

Hi, looking for advice.

Had what I thought was a wee cold last week however since Saturday it got worse, been to Doctor this morning and she said my left lung is crackeling all over, next 24hrs is critical to try stop the infection.

I'm on 10ml antibiotic three times per day.

Will this clear up and if so will I beefy with any side effect.

I do have bullous emphysema, not on inhalers or anything.

Ears more and throat still killing me.

I'm so sorry about the discomfort. I highly suggest those antibiotics as prescribed. Just my thoughts. Go slow, water galore, hot showers if possible.

Antibiotics can take a few days for the full affect to be felt and due to your condition it may well take a while before your lungs recover. Rest, warmth and plenty of fluids are your best friends at the moment. Obviously if you do not begin to feel better in 72 hours see your GP again.

Hi. Because of your bullous emphysema I strongly recommend you take the antibiotic. I hope it's a decent one and for an adequate length of time. Be sure to go back to the doc if the infection hasn't cleared by the last day of the antibiotic.

Do take a high dose of probiotic capsule during the course and a few weeks afterwards.
