Welcome to the forum. I hope you've had the usual advice about healthy eating, exercise, joining a pulmonary rehab class if possible and learning breathing techniques. We can't give you medical advice but we can certainly speak from our own collective experience on anything you can do to keep as healthy as possible. Glad you can still do everything. Keep it up- with sensible living and a bit of luck COPD gets worse very slowly.

Hi there welcome to the site, good to hear you have been well advised. my experience says COPD is slowly progressive if you take care and try to avoid bugs etc. Mine is still similar to 15 years ago when first diagnosed but do have a very low lung volume and the cough can be a drag. Of course there is a limit to how much effort you can give when the lungs are bad so just go at your own pace and enjoy life best you can , a hand fan is an essential for easy breathing in my opinion. Hope to chat another time . Take care

I was told yesterday I have severe COPD as my lung function is only 40%! I also have emphysema. I’m rarely breathless and can walk miles but not fast. Consultant said I had mild symptoms and to exercise and don’t put on weight or get too thin, so I can still eat chocolate lol. This forum is very helpful and you’ll find everything on here. Enjoy retirement

I’ve got a treadmill I use daily and am gradually building up my time on it, now on 15 minutes each time and I’m trying lung breathing exercises to help strengthen my lungs. If I ever feel breathless I just stop and do recovery breathing

Hi🙋‍♀️ and welcome to this friendly and supportive site. I can't help with your question as I have Bronchiectasis and other lung and non lung conditions but not COPD. Just wanted to say hello and reassure you others will come along with very helpful advice (as they already have) 🙂xxx
