Heart racing at night
I would check that with the doctor rigcu1, a 24 hour monitor fitment to check what is going on could be something the doc may want to arrange through the hospital for you.
Trusting you are not taking alcohol excessively as that can cause racing heart symptoms.
Hope you get things checked out.
yes no alcohol abuse in weeks. Went to cardiologist for that but he only had me do an exercise stress test. Will follow up thank you
Hello everyone. What were the initial symptoms that you all experienced that drove you in to get checked for your lung condition?
A lung infection that wouldn't go away, shortness of breath, feeling like you are not getting enough oxygen even though you are taken in air, legs feeling like they don't work properly, fatigue.
got it thank you!
Hi rlgcu1, have you told your gp, it could be irregular heart beat, don't panic it is not a heart attach or anything 4 people out of 10 have it. Go to the doctor and have it checked out. Good luck Maximonkey
I regularly wake up with my heart racing. If I can find my finger oxymeter quickly enough and get it onto one of my fingers, I find that my oxygen saturations are between 87%-89% and my heart rate is in the high 90s to lower 100s bpm. I can then watch as my saturations gradually rise up to 93-96% as my heart rate continues to increase.
I believe that as my heart rates gradually lower in my sleep, so do my oxygen saturation levels. The body is a clever thing and so it recognises that my oxygen levels have dropped and therefore speeds my heart rate up, to ensure that my oxygen saturations rise again. Its a very unpleasant experience however! 😧
I do have oxygen issues however and have to use ambulatory oxygen during the day.
I think it can happen with sleep apnoea and
I've also heard that sometimes spikes in heart rates during sleep, can be caused by adrenaline or cortisol spikes during the night. Definitely worth speaking to your GP tho, to find out what is causing yours.
